Thinking back.

I remember my very first life drawing session. I was nervous, uncertain overall about how it would go, what to expect, and whether or not the hours would go by quickly or be as still as the model herself.

It surprised me. Once you're there, and you began to put pencil to paper, time is something outside your space it seems. You draw your eye over shapes and see light and shadow. There is no talking, no interaction but eyes and hands, mind and model. Time passes so quickly when you're in this realm of thought. It's the most beautiful feeling.

I think everyone should experience a life drawing session at least once, there is something in the rush of putting form to paper that is exhilarating.
